29 years of Giving
Southeast Tissue Alliance Celebrates 28 Years of Giving through Tissue Recovery, Research and Education
After 29 years of recovering tissues for transplantation and research, Southeast Tissue Alliance has helped more than 21,280 families carry out their loved one’s wishes to be tissue donors. Southeast Tissue Alliance is able to reach these milestones only through the unselfishness and thoughtfulness of donor families and their loved ones, the hard work of our dedicated staff and the commitment of our partners in donation – our hospitals, funeral homes and medical examiners’ offices.
Over the past 29 years, through the dedication and hard work of our partner organizations and our own staff, we have helped to save or enhance the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. These combined efforts of our partners and the gifts from our donor families have contributed to enhancing the lives of patients who could not walk, experienced incredible pain, had impaired vision, suffered burns on their bodies, or endured other disabilities that impaired their ability to live healthy, happy lives.
“We feel incredibly proud that we have been able to help so many families carry out their loved ones’ wishes to be tissue donors,” said Lawrence Hopkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Southeast Tissue Alliance, Inc. “We are honored that more than 21,280 families have chosen to work with SETA in order to facilitate the gift of tissue donation.”
