Get Carded
In 1997, a small group of University of Central Florida students joined TransLife—their local organ and tissue donation and kidney transplant program—to launch Get Carded. Their goal was simple—to give the facts about organ and tissue donation.
Student organizers rallied campus support through special events, news articles, presentations and ongoing promotion. Their concept took root. Get Carded grew to involve dozens of student organizations, faculty and alumni.
Today, Get Carded is active on six campuses across the state. Donate Life Florida guides the program’s expansion and provides campaign materials.
SETA and the University of North Florida Get Card Committee is working hard on their campus to promote organ and tissue donation and to register to become an organ, tissue and eye donor.
