What Families Should Know
- SETA works closely with funeral homes to ensure that a tissue donation takes place without interfering with funeral arrangements.
- You should not be charged by the funeral home for any donation related costs. If there are charges, the funeral home should submit them to SETA. If you are charged for donation related costs by the funeral home, please let us know.
- Most funeral homes are very supportive of donation. In the event that your funeral director has any concerns about donation, please ask them to contact us immediately.
- You should be able to have a viewing and open casket funeral after tissue donation if that is your wish. Please let the funeral home know of your wishes.
